Monday's News in Brief

This is mostly to test the functionality of posting from my phone.

Walker's proposed budget eliminate several programs to preserve farmland. When we say "open for business," we mean modern business. Just not as modern as windfarms and high speed rail.

Senior citizens will be marching on the Capitol at 3:30 pm. Seniorcare, a WI prescription program, is under threat.

The state is seeking to appeal last week's decision by Judge Sumi. That decision blocked the publishing (taking effect) of the law due to possible violation of open meetings laws.

Walker DID receive many emails in support of his budget repair bill...but a lot of those were from out-of-state. And (I will update my prior post), most state employees were opposed.

All in all, a pretty dreary Monday.
